I didn’t set out to build a consulting firm.

My Story: Creating A Dreamer

I set out to build a life.

I grew up in Minnesota—working at Dairy Queen at 14, learning early what it meant to show up, stay humble, and work hard. As a first-generation college student, I moved to Boston with a Siberian husky and a suitcase full of ambition. I graduated from Northeastern University, where I studied criminal justice with the original plan of going to law school. But something didn’t sit right, and I trusted my instincts to follow a different path.

While supporting myself in restaurants, I unknowingly took a masterclass in people, presence, and possibility. One day, I pulled out a shoebox collection of business cards and made a call that led me to Symphony Hall and the Boston Symphony Orchestra. After playing classical piano for most of my childhood, I felt I could speak their language at some capacity. That leap opened the door to classical music broadcasting, public television, the advertising industry and eventually luxury publishing—where I became a publisher, top national revenue producer and launched the publication Interiors Boston, which I successfully grew for seven years.

Over two decades, I’ve worked across media, publishing, wellness, live events, and book and product launches—not because it was a straight line, but because I stayed curious, said yes, and embraced reinvention. Today, through Dreamer Consulting, I bring that experience to clients in longevity and wellness, literature, nonprofits, and luxury sectors—helping them turn bold ideas into lasting impact.

I’m also the founder of The Newbury Cup, which supports grassroots Boston charities, and YOUthink Retreats, immersive wellness experiences that reconnect people with purpose. These projects reflect my core values: service, creativity, resilience, and the courage to take a different path.

It’s a reminder that if a girl from Minnesota can move across the country with a dog and a dream and create a life she loves, so can you.

Dreamer Consulting isn’t just a name.
